    Well the 280/286 is closer to working in the RPM range of the tunnel ram but when they start working good your heads are going to be at or past their limit, also the tunnel ram kills torque so your 3000 converter probley wont stall past 2400-2500, your gear is close although 4:11 or 4:56 would be better, and trade your points in for a pertronix unit ( fits under your stock cap )
