i beleive the only thing different in the tuned port injection from the 305 to the 350 is that the 305 have smaller injectors. if it was tuned port i personally would leave it tuned port . guys that tell you to swap it to a carb dont realize how much reliability and throttle response you get from them. i have swapped a tuned port engine from my iroc and converted it to a carb engine.(totally different engine)to do it right it can be a time consuming project. and the money i inveseted in the project i wish i would have just stayed with the tuned port.
