Is the HEI giving you trouble? Are you looking for a more stock type of apperance?
I find points a pain in the rear compaired to HEI's. But of course it's your choice. I do everything I can to get rid of points.
For points you will need to wire your igntion wire to the positive side of the coil, find out if you need a ballast resistor for the coil. If so you may need to get one, many cars depending on what you are doing this change out on already have a resistor built in to the ignition wire, if that's the case you won't need a ballast resistor. On the other hand if the coil you are installing doesn't need a ballast resistor and you have the resistor igntion wire then you might want to consider running a new wire from your igntion to the positive side of your coil.
You will need to then wire the points to the negative side of your coil. That's about it for a points ignition system.
Good luck either way.

It would be nice if this up and down crap would cease.
