what valve springs should i replace the old ones in my 283 with? stock heads , and its a 1967 out of a Chevy pickup. any H.D. one's ? Z28 or corvette any better? im going to run a XE268H cam .

I'd run the comp cam springs to avoid valve float and check clearances as insurance against coil bind. By this I mean sticking afeeler guage between the coils with the valve at full lift, dont forget to take in account that when the engines runnig you will get some further lift when the lifter pressures up with oil.
on the Z28 springs , what year Z did they come on? was it a 350?Quote:

cant give $126.39 for springs right now ! stock one's are 20$ ,i can do that ! just looking for the best one's
