What do you guys think of the super displacement small blocks? World Products has several. A 454 is their latest and biggest but they also have a 427 and a 415. They use custom blocks though. Anyway I'm looking to toss the 305 in my 3rd gen T/A next year and am wondering what my options are. I thought I'd stick with a small block, the venerable 350. I was wondering what a big block would require as far as suspension ect. I'll probably be going for bigger brakes already but i hadn't wanted to mess with the suspension too much and then there is mounts and I'm sure a ton of other stuff. Anyway, I then came across an article in Super Chevy about this WP Motown 454. It weighs about 450 pds pretty complete with aluminum heads. It's quite pricy at $10,495 but it is almost compete and making 610 hp at 6,400 rpm and 584 lb-ft at 4,500. Something like this (or ore likely the smaller one) shouldn't involve suspension mods and it says all chevy small black stuff bolts on. The drive train is another story but I planned on going with a different trans and rear. I guess my options are 1)nicely done 350 (possibly huffed) 2) a big block 3) one of these 4XX small blocks. Any opinions? Everybody's got one. Thanks. ---Rich
