    Crate motor

    Hello
I’m thinking about a ZZ CRATE motor from Chevrolet. Is a short block and wondering if double hump heads would be ok on it. It will eventually go in a model a old style hot rod with an intake set up with 4 two barrel Carbs
    Your thoughts?

A lot will depend on the cc's of the heads and early double humps had no provisions for mounting accessories.
    Are you talking Man-A-Fre manifold?

Be prepared to run premium fuel. You need to find a Duntov 30/30 cam, an early Chevy dual point dist and a stout coil, one like one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Mal....c100290.m3507

Oh I like it - Milner's '32 from American Graffiti revisited. How about a Joe Hunt "magneto look" electronic distributor?
