In my opinion, they should be marked FOR RACE CAR USE ONLY and Edelbrock is doing a dis-service to hot rodders for not labeling them as such. A street car, in cool or cold weather, needs a heated intake manifold to help homogenize the fuel before sending it on its way into the intake port. Otherwise, you get lean/rich/lean/rich/lean shots into the ports and drivability suffers.
My choice would be an Edelbrock 7101 or Weiand 8150.
