I was in the same boat with my T/A as you for keeping the factory Q Jet. I rebuilt it but never got it right and then sent it away to get rebuilt by people who knew what they were doing. It not only came back running better than it ever did, but it also looked brand new again which is something I think you'll appreciate. It's been too many years to remember who I sent it to but it's worth the money if you find one.
Yes, I had seen some data later on that shows the higher idle speeds. Not as high as your data shows but whatever...
My real goal was to verify the mechanical advance was at zero. Hence the timing light while lowering the motor rpm...
No, no attitude... I didn't even swear! Oh whatever! 8-)
I realized after looking at the carb that the accelerator pump is not returning all the way back up. Did not notice it before. I have rebuilt probably a dozen holleys. Watched a couple videos on quadrajet. If it wasent 12 weeks i would send carb out. But for the price & for the experience im going to give it a try. Can't mess it up i guess, it's not working now. This motor is LM1 corvette motor. When I ran the carb number it Came back saying corvette & no mention of a camaro. It was the biggest motor you can order In 1975 camaro. Thanks for all your help everyone ! Appreciate it
