Engine Swap
Right now I have a small block 350 in a 55 Chevy Truck. I was thinking about putting a Vortec 6.0L LQ4 in it. What all will l have change to put this in.

Are you planning to swap a trans with the 6.0?
Of course your looking at exhaust system, plus you will need to upgrage fuel system for EFI--------------A electric can be noisy, plus is your tank in the cab?
Get the complete accessory drive system with the engine ( I'm assuming a liftout from a salvage vehicle) along with wiring harness( engine, dash, etc) so you can operate everything---------electric fans, a/c, power steering, high amp alternator, ---------if you get the complete front mounted accessory package you will save $2000 or more just trying to hook up aftermarker stuff--------

To follow on what Jerry said - get as much as you can from a donor vehicle -like this one:
92K Miles 6 0 Vortec LQ4 V8 Motor Engine 4L80E Automatic Pull Out Package Chevy | eBay
That way you know you will have everything that you need and it will all work together.
The $3,200 for the entire package (with a transmission) sounds like a pretty decent price."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

With the complexity of the electronics there are several companies who specialize in takeout packages like those described, often with a good warranty. Pacific is one, located out west - Take Out Engine Packages - Engine Packages - Engines - Engine & Transmission - Products
Also some offer new equipment in a complete package -

Just remember, "Let the buyer beware", especially applicable when buying from an individual, with no warranty provision.Roger

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
