400 sbc
Ive got a 400 sbc, -0.20 dome pistons, RHS 235cc aluminum heads, 64cc chambers, 2.08/1.60 valves, 1.5 crane gold roller rockers, .258/.263 dur @ .50 .547/.555 lift solid flat tappet cam, super Victor intake and either an 850 double pumper (already have) or 950 dominator (if I can get my hands on it) I got this motor in a trade and was planning on putting it in my 21ft Checkmate boat but was wondering what you guys thought the power curves would be like? Usually cruising rpms are between 3,500 and 4,200. Does this sound like a good combo for a boat and what would I expect hp and torque numbers to be?

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
