SBC rear main seal
Hi, i am new here and had a question. I've been out of building a few years now and getting back into it for my son, I had a good stock pile of parts and recently sold alot of it. I keep enough stuff to build a 383 ALL machine work was done a few years ago, everything I had was sent to machine shop. Anyway in a stupid moment when selling off stuff i sold the wrong block that went with my scat crank I have. I now have a 2 piece rear seal crank and a 1 piece block I did some searching and found a conversion kit (one example http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aa...6126/overview/ ). Has anyone used this? I would prefer to use it instead of buying another block having machine work done. Kinda in a rush to finish my son has set a goal to be on the drag strip come February.

Yes---I have used many ---mine are from K-Teck---By using the kit it is easy to do a stroker build in one of the later blocks set up for oem roller lifters----
you must use a oil pan for the 2 pc seal----

and welcome to the site
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
