    Question Engine Identification

    I have a V8 trike.
it has a Chevy V8 in it.
According to the casting number on the back side of the engine on the driver's side, (471511) that engine is a 267.
    Those were made from 1979--1982---BUT---

One website said that if the oil dipstick was on the drivers side, it was newer than 1986.

How do I figure out what engine I have?

Thanks to all the Chevy gear heads.

    Mike

Every reference I have gives the following info. Don't worry about the dipstick.

    267 CI
    1979-82
    3.500 Bore
    3.480 Stroke
    2.100 Rod journal dia.
    2.450 Main Journal dia.

I assume the ID number is on the block.
