Thanks for your input. Yes that is the engine 96 block with 95 swirl port heads. I bought assault racing's steel roller tipped rockers for the heads, and am still having issues. The rockers are the only self aligning rockers they had, but they said self aligning/vortec. I didn't think the vortec heads were different than the other SBC heads angle wise. I thought it was just in the swirl. The exhaust rockers were hitting the retainers, so I changed them back to the stock SA rockers on the exhaust side, but it didn't solve my problem. I am running 1.5's. the heads came with 1.6's I marked the poly locke on the drivers side last time I had the valve cover off, and havent had the time to check them yet.
