Carburetor choice and Alternator Bracket
Hi everyone,
Newbie question here... first car with a carb for me...
I just bought an old Jeep with a Chevy 327 swap. Engine number says it's a 1968 327.
The carburetor (oviously not stock) is a Qjet #17087245 that was used on Dodge HD trucks (85 to 88).
Is it ok to use a carb designed for a 360 engine on a 327?
2nd question is regarding alternator position:
Is this setup a custom one? because I'm not able to ajust belt tension...alternator is touching valve cover... see picture:
Thanks a lot

I've had a lot of BIG things happening to me lately but now I'm back to working on the car some, it feels good! The tranny mount was bad and that helped put everything back where it should be....
