extra thin head gasket
I want to raise the compression of my 305 that was bored .060 over and since the block was decked, I wanted to know how thin could I go on a head gasket? Is 0.020 to thin?Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Hey chevy, I wouldn’t go any thinner than that which would give me .040 clearance between the top of the piston and the head otherwise the piston will kiss the head.Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

If I can find a gasket thats .020, I will still have enough clearance.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
