351 cleveland offered a 4 barrell and a 2 barrell headed engine but i dont know of any other .... edit .. sorry .. i did not notice this was small block chevy talk ....
well. to start a conversation at any rate .. i would supppose some of the more performance orientiated engines would have come with heads specific for them .. such as the old double hump heads or the 361 castings most likely would have been found on four barrell engines .. so you mite say they were four barrell heads .. i doubt any heads with the 202 valves would have been put on a two barrell motor ..
Many people have purchased "double hump" heads at swap meets thinking they were high performance 4 barrel heads when in fact they were small valve heads used both on 2 and 4 barrel engines. Nothing wrong with the small valve heads on a mild street engine.
Thats what I was thinking. Thanks docwilcar.
There is good reasons WHY there is a market for aftermarket heads.
