Is this combo a good idea?

Why so much cam with the stock bottom end??? Any idea what the compression ratio would come out to? Headers are a bit on the small side, no reason to have the good heads if the exhaust can't get out.
sorry they are 1.75'' primaries....i have fixed the post.
But yeah...idk i want to invest in good heads, but idk what to do. is that cam too much for the heads?
As Dave said much of your choices is dictated by SCR.What would help if you could tell us your expectations in a power curve.
What type of pistons? Need to know SCR. What type of transmission are you putting behind it? IMO, that cam is way too big for a daily driver. You will have awful street manners.
It looks like a manual (from O/P) but I agree with Lynn - way too much cam for daily driver. While your left leg can act as a pretty good "stall converter" on a manual it's still best to have an engine that performs well from 1,000 RPM through about 5K for the street. Not saying you'll never take it to 6 grand, but most of your street driving is in a lower range. You may want to dial the cam down a couple notches and find one with a bit more vacuum and better "street manners" - something along these lines may be better suited for a daily driver - XR270HR-10, Camshaft Part#12-422-8 Dyno Sheet
Still an impressive cam, but a lot better manners and it will still have a lot better performance in the RPM range you'll in all liklihood be driving.

Glenn is right on with his cam suggestion. That is the ball park you need to play in. An excellent choice for a 350.
thanks for the input...you folks definitely answered my question. The cam i have in it now is the GM hotcam w/ 1.6 rockers which dictates a .525/.525 lift. The old set of L98 heads will suffice for now haha. I guess i'll just stay with that until the rebuild down the road. Thanks for the help.
