Got an oil leak coming from the rear/manifold of the engine. I'm wondering where? Maybe rear manifold gasket, or is there a seal
between the distributor and the manifold? Is there any other possible places?

if yousaid what engine it would be easier....But if it is a sbc the oil presure sending unit is there along side the distributer, could be a loose fitting there. could be valve cover could be the gasket under the distributer. Could be the back of the intake
I believe it has a proper engine, SBC., okay,I hear all you Ford lovers, I would go straight to the oil sender beside the dizzy first and check that out. If it does have a ford, replace it with a Chevy., no more oil leaks then. LOL. LOL.
it's not common for the rear gasket to leak where the block gasket joins the head gasket for the intake but not unheard of, typically when they leak at those corners it's usally at the front of the motor (SBC) but if you have an oil sending unit next to the distributor id check that the brass fitting isn't leaking. are you sure it's that high up on the motor? or do you just see oil on the back of the motor running down the bellhousing?
could be a rear main seal. id suggest you clean off the back of the motor where ever you see oil, then run it until the motor is warmed up so the oil is more fluid and keep a led light on the area in question, i like using led lights better since they reflect fluids better than standard bulbs.
