Hello all again.. I will be building a 383 next month, and am attempting to make all the parts match correctly to obtain my goal..

The goal.. Would like a streetable 383 which would push my car down the track high 11 low 12 range with tuning..

Plan so far:

350 block using scat 383 stroker kit. 5.7 rods maybe 6.0 rods if I don't have to make alot of adjustments to my block area and cam area. Not sure yet, but to play it safe, go with the 5.7 rod set up for now.

I will use a forged dome piston, kb of speed pro most likely and the comp ratio would fall about 10.5

Will be using my pro comp 190 heads w/ roller 1.5 rockers
Have a dual plne intake now, and I guess would be okay to reuse.
I have an MSD ignition 6al box w/ timing control as well (Simple dial to advance timing while in car)
Have a 750 db pump carb hp series which I just retuned and it runs well.
I will reuse my hooker supercomp headers w/ open turnout
I have a b&m 350 turbo w/ shift kit and 2200 stall
373 rear gear w/ M/T street slicks 28 inches tall

With the list of parts above, I must pick the correct cam for all of this to work..
Will be going in my 69 Camaro (which runs pretty well now with the 350) but I want to go fasted, and since my oil presure is a little low, perfect excuse to build a better engine.he he he

Any way..The cam I think that would work best is:
Lanati Part # 60141 as my first pick
or
Comp Cam12-678-4

In my current 350 w/ 9.0 com and all the above listed parts, I have the Comp Cam 12-225-4 which I feel is too large and although I have spent time on the dyno, it just isn't the right cam for this combo. Sounds reall cool, and the car runs very well, but I think the smaller cams w/the 383 setup should really light the car up. Any input?
