i am rebuildling my 350 for my 70 chevelle, and i have been hearing differences in rocker stud sizes, people are reffering me to get 3/8 studs while others are saying 7/16 are stronger? i have no idea on this topic any help would be much appreciated !
for mild use 3/8 are fine for most all builds . soild roller with hi spring pressure then 7/16 top and bottom stud. if your buying all new rockers and heads are set up for screw in studs then the heads will be tap for 7/16. the bigger 7/16 are fine bigger from the start it will not cost more .if heads are stock gm and your cut them for screw in studs and your using old rockers then a 7/16 bottom stud and a 3/8 top is what you need and ARP and others make them
Also if you check prices most rockers and studs are the same price for both options.
