    Edelbrock Hydro lifters-valve lash??.

Friend of mine asked the following question:

Anybody ever install an Edelbrock cam and hydro roller lifters using their instructions for adjusting the lifters? They warn NOT to pump the new lifters before adjusting. They then have you bring the exhaust valve to just rising and adjust the intake. Bring the intake to it's lowest travel and adjust the exhaust. Bring each to 0 lash plus a half turn. Repeat for 7 other cylinders. Needless to say by the time you are done, all the rockers are loose because they compressed with no oil in them. Very disconcerting.

I am asking for some input for you guys please.
