With the info given above............260hp max.... with 300-310ftpnds.
Ditto on what has been said about the 193 truck(swirl port head) heads. The heads just wont build the numbers above 40-4500rpms. Replace them with something better.

I've been reading articles like this : http://www.popularhotrodding.com/eng...ons/index.html

that say you can substitue ANY sbc 350. mine i believe is the old style, and I think was rated under 200 hp. the engine they build off of in the article was rated at 290! Is that all because of the cam?! Can I truly subsitute my engine for that performance one? Would I end up with the same power numbers, or are there other differences?

I am no pro ,but I would guess under 300 hp and about 360 ftlbs of torque .

Those heads seem to be not soo good ,now I have talked myself into give or take 275 hp.

It`s all just a guess from my end though.

I would imagine it would climb rocks well at low rpm or pull a heavy load at freeway rpms very well.
