    well your not going the right way on this why would you take a roller out to put a flat cam in ?????????? you do not need the plate to hold the flat lifter cam on track as the cam turns the lifters holds the cam some what from moving the lifters are really not flat. you need a chain set for a big nose cam they made them a 90 chevy truck timming set should work it will not have the step nose cam and you will need new pushrods
