I have a chevy 350 with Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock performer series 600 CFM carb, true dual exhaust with 40 series flowmasters. I drive it basically on the weekends and just cruising. What would be a good cam and lifter kit to throw in it. I know just enough about cam size numbers to get me confused. Please help me out!
how much CR you want to run a gear stall ? how heavy of car /truck?
Which yr 350??.Look at the casting numbers above the flywheel in the rear of the engine.Stock heads??.
Why not use the Performer cam, you already have the intake and carb,Edelbrock does a lot of testing and research to match up their products why not take advantage of their knowledge?
What's the static compression ratio of the motor. You need to know that to pick a cam properly. This cam and kit will work on any SBC Gen I motor that has SCR between 8.0 and 9.5, so it would be a pretty safe bet.Quote:

Don't start with the rump rump, you don't have a combination that can use a cam that has rump rump.
I'm with Jeff; companies like Edelbrock put a lot of money into R&D when designing intakes, cams, and carbs to work well together as a package. Might as well capitalize on their hard work.
