I want some input on what u guys think. Good? Bad? I heard alot of bad things about throttle body injection but i wanna hear otherwise.

If their claims are true, then that's a pretty slick setup for someone who doesn't really want to learn all the particulars about setting up and tuning efi systems. maybe if you're a young kid then the computer stuff is stupid simple, but for many of us old guys it's a bit tougher, so this thing might fly pretty well here. from the quick look I took at the link you showed, the only thing I'd like to hear more about is that they say it works with point or points converted ignition systems. that's trelling me that the ecm isn't controling the timing...... now in my book an efi system needs to control the timing along with the mixture...... but, like I said.... I'm just an old guy with old ideas.

Probably a decent system for a cruiser, same with any throttle body system. From what I've studied and seen on the chassis dyno, takes a MPFI unit with lots of tuneability of both the fuel and ignition curve to get any real high performance numbers... but if price and simplicity is your main criteria then it might be ok. From what I've seen of other products by the same manufacturer the quality leaves a bit to be desired, but then it doesn't cost $4K+ like a FAST system or the Edelbrock Pro Flo II system....
Yea, i like the compact style of it, but i wanna see how people actually think when they buy it and put alot of miles on it and if they have issues with the heat from the motor onto the ECM. Im a computer guy and i know computers and heat dont go to well together. lol.
I'm sure that Car Craft or Hot Rod did a story on different EFI systems these ones faired well .
I have had my eye on those, but I am taking a wait-and-see attitude in order to determine just how well they work and how satisfied owners are with their performance. Right now, my 750 Edelbrock is in no danger of being replaced.
I plan on getting one. I have read the manual twice now :eek: and it is completely tunable if you want or totally self adaptive as well. It will easily outperform any carb set-up, improve emissions and gas mileage as well.
Heat is an issue. It comes with a special gasket to mitigate heat conduction from intake. Underhood temos nust be a factor but I will use it on a hoodless deuce so I am not too worried.
I too would like to see some reports of long term operation and trouble etc ..........

I sent them an email to see if they could meet some of my needs for my blowermotor & they got back to me within 24 hours. So their customer service passes the first test.
Their answers were pretty good and and I sent them some more info so they can see what they can do for me.
All I want is an easy to setup EFI system for a blown 540 in a bucket - so its got to look good in an exposed engine bay, and its got to work well and make the car streetable, while working effectively on the drag strip.
They can do systems up to around 1300hp so Im looking forward to seeing their solutions for my engine.
Holy shit thats alot of power ha :P. Im worried about the heat of the unit under hood severe temperatures and such and such. Tell me more about it if you do get one, It would be great to hear from someone first hand. and take pics aswell i like pictures :)Quote:

Maybe its something i will look at. The thing is that under neath my hood ( fiero with small block chevy) i would prob be the first one in north america to try this system out with all that heat in the back of my car, But from what i heard so far it seems like a really good system for running efi i might have to consider the possibility's since when i do my heads and cam i will have to upgrade my carb setup for it only being a 570 cfm, i will wanna step it up larder.Quote:
