#8 cylinder spark plug wet

I just bought a 383 stroker from a buddy. (He had built at a speed shop) I installed it into my monza last weeK. After breaking in the engine. White smoke started to pore out the passenger side tail pipe. we checked the park plugs, and one of them was wet. we put a new one in. and after 10 min it started smokeing agian. We did a commpression test. came up with 170.We where getting spark, so the distributor was fine. so we pulled the head, everything was good. but the cylinder was shinny clean. pulled the engine and piston, and noticed that the 2nd commpession ring was a little sticky. put new rings in the piston and ran it agian, still smoked and plug was wet. Any ideas???

There isn't any collant in the oil. I am useing an old rough edelbrock performer intake. Could that be a problem?

Are you running an automatic transmission? If so what is it and what is the condition of it? Some times a bad modulator causes white smoke out the exhaust and excessive fluid consumption. On my BBC the vacuum line for the modulator is on top of the runner that feeds the #8 cyl.. Trans fluid burns white.

Sorry I took this long to get back on here. It was a shot modulator on the tranny. I couldn't beleave it. Thanks for ur help. I would have never looked there. I car runs great now
