thanks for the comment about how difficult it would be to set one up correctly.. i just decided to take it to someone who had a Q-jet on his old 427 camaro and according to everyone in town that car could run!! .. he owns a shop and says he's done 100's of these so he did the rebuild now it sounds like its going to be another trip back to him to let him tune it! hahaha! the only time i can get it to run is when i advance the crap out of the timing... i've tried retarding the timing and tightening both of the air/fuel mixture screws and then it starts to backfire?! no backfire when i advance it. and also when i just hold the gas pedal constantly at 1/4 throttle it will eventually sputter and die after 3 or 4 seconds of doing that... any ideas???
