With the price of parts and machine work, sometimes a crate engine comes out to a better deal---and a whole lot less down time! Just another consideration for you.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave this is true at times, but like many other people we build what we have.
The 307 that I put together has about $300 in it.
I got a running 307 w/a flat lobe on the cam and w/no ring ridge, a good set of late model 305 heads and a Quad-junk intake & carb all for FREE.
Hell I have more in the complete gasket kit then I have in the Crane cam & anything else I had to buy for it. The motor sounds real good, has lots of pep and should get decent gas milage to boot.
Plus everyone has a 350 & I just wanted to be different.
Hell that's why I'm running a 425/400 Cadillac combo in my bus, why because it's different....joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE
Two possibilities exist:
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.
Both are equally terrifying.
