Need Help!
I just got my first chevy motor, I use to be a oldsmobile guy, but I just ran in to to many problems and olds motors are to expensive to work on. I have a Goodrich 350 replacement motor out of a 1981 elcomino. The motor is about 7 years old. My problem is I'm just really getting in to do some of the work myself, and I'm not sure what's a good cam to put in. The guy thats helping me is telling me to go with a Lunati sbc 284/292 Voodoo hydraulic cam kit set up. Can somebody give me some advice?

Depends on a lot of other factors--what's it in, what are you going to use the car for, any other mods on the engine, what heads do you have, and a host of other things... The right cam selection will make or break the performance and efficiency of the engine!!!!!!
BTW, welcome to CHR!

The motor is going in a 85 Cutlass or Monte Carlo, more than likely it will go in my cutlass. The body of my cutlass is in alot better shape. This is not going to be a everyday car but when I do bring it out I want to have alittle bite to go with the bark. I have a set of hooker headers to mount on.

I'm going to put this motor in a 1985 cutlass. I changed the intake to a edelbrock performance series, with a 600 electric edelbrock carb, and a set of hooker headers. Basically I just wanted to take a good 2 barrel stock motor and beef it up a little.

That is a lot of cam! The Comp Cams 262 is a good choice for an all around use. The Lunati cam would be a strip use only cam.

I like the comp XE 262 hydraulic..............
I paired mine with some rhodes lifters ,sounds healthy, idles well, revs well.
Be sure and get the right springs as the lobe is a little extreme for stock springs.
