    283 crank

I feel stupid asking this, but I really don't know what to do about it. I have an old 283 sitting in my garage that I just started to tear down. When I bought it 4 years ago it was all taken apart. Well, I stood the crank up in the corner of my garage and covered it up. I went to get it yesterday and it has a nice coat of rust on it. Do I have to replace it or is there something I can do to still use that one. I know now I should have slapped some grease on it before I stored it.

You should be able to rent a bead blaster at most any tool rental place. I'm unshure on where you can get somthing superfinished but, I'd check a machine shop and, ask them if they can do it.
You don't know what you've got til it's gone

What exactly is the "superfinish" and can they do the whole block?
Why can't I just rent a sandblaster? Is that to harsh?
