Which intake?
Starting to gather parts needed for my 427sbc build and would like to know which intake everyone likes the best. I've looked at the Super Victor,Weiand G-Team,Hurricane and the no name screamer, I've got the adapter to go from the 4500 to the 4150 already if needed and if you've read my other post it will be going to a set of Brodix M2 Track1 227cc heads.

Depends on the power range you want and what cam and converter you will be using. An Edelbrock RPM or Weiand Stealth high-rise, dual-plane intake will make more power under curve up to 6000 than a single plane intake. The break-over comes at about 6000, where the single plane will begin to make more power. It's not all about max power, it's about power under curve on the way to max power. The motor could conceivably make more max power with a single plane, but if it will make more power under curve with a dual plane, the car could be faster even though the dual plane may make less max power.

Now that is some answers I was looking for. I'll be running this engine in a 80 Chevy Luv with a 4-wheel drive set up with wide 38 boggers on the back and will be needing the quick power and torque to get it up and moving for the 200ft run. Alot of thing's to figure out but I love it. Now if I can figure out what pressure the orange striped spring's are. Thank's

Awesome post by techinspector...exactly, for example, I would rather have a curve that contains 400hp from 2000-5000rpm than have 500hp from 5400-5500. It makes more sense to increase the bandwidth of the horsepower and not worry about the "peak" power....leave that to them 4-banger guys nowadays....sry for straying from topic a bit, though, please continue, lol
