?? about cam/heads/intake

I have Brodix track one heads and Brodix HV 1003 intake {range 4000-8000}.
The cam that was in her Comp 300A-R10 {3200=7200}.

My Vette spends most of the time on the street, that's why I wiped two cam lobes and two mechanical roller lifters..:confused: To much idle time...
Race motor in a street car, not good..

I'm looking at Comp Cam Xtreme Energy™, XR274R
Great for Power Touring, Very Reliable Power, Rough Idle. Range 2200 to 6200.
Just putting that cam in with my heads and intake what do you think??

I do have a Weiand Stealth intake 1500 to 6700 that fit on my heads, but don't know how that combo would work, anybody have a idea how that would work out???

Keep the Brodix parts as a matched set. The cam will work just fine.

Aren't the Track 1's about 220 cc runners??? Way too much head for the street!!!! Someplace around 180 is plenty... Hydraulic rollers work nice on the street and do fine up to about 6500 revs, plenty for street use.

Guess my choice would be too put the Brodix parts on the shelf till you're ready to go racing someday, use the Weiand intake and a more streetable pair of heads....

I agree with Dave. The cam is what made the heads work on a 350cid. When you start dropping back on the cam the engine will not turn enough RPM to get into the power band of the 221cc heads.
