looks like a iron core cam they are ok for hyd roller .but not for a solid cam hi lbs and any hi rpm use i would of never used it on the street with a rev kit steel core hyd roller yes. low rpm hi lbs springs and bad oil + a iron core cam is what did it in ?? or mis match parts for street use. i would go steel core and solid ? if that what you want or hyd roller cam with a steel core if you want the hi rpm .iron cores work good if you can keep the spring lbs down there many cams that can work .with the iron running thru the engine you are going to wash it and rebuild it i hope ? looks like 2and 4 intake ports were not sealed very good ? you have to watch your oil if you to rich on your fuel /air mix and wash your oil down and wear out parts
