I know a couple shops that can get what you need. Performance shops and regular rebuild shops.
Wonder if 'Da Zone' rents them?
Have ya checked with Pep Boys?
:toocool:
anybody out there???
tried postin this - all my posts get a message they have to be reviewed first by the forum moderator. not sure why.
anyway... i have checked pepboys, oreillys etc. nobody has them or rents them. I'd like to get one that isn't just going to support SBC only. problem is they are 200 bucks and i dont have that laying around right now... so am looking to see if anybody has a tool to loan for a weekend. thx
I think you might have to break down and get the tool...5 post and asking for tools...
yeah no-body knows me from Adam. looks like you're right. :-)
Try Lone Star Performance in Garland/Dallas. They might be able to help or advise.

thanks for the tip. unfortunately they don't have any. well i'm going to order one from online. thanks anyway!
Unless you are doing this on an ongoing basis it seems to me it is just as cost effective to have your local machine shop pop them in for you. My guy gets $20.00 to do them, and I do maybe one or two engines a year max, so I just let him do it. Plus, he does them daily and knows how to get them right, something I might screw up doing it infrequently.
