An exercise in futility. You can make more power with a boneyard 350 and it's cheaper. But to answer your question, the usual culprits are the rod bolt at the cam lobe and the big end of the rod at the pan rail. Check for interference also at the pin end of the rod at the underside of the piston crown. If you use Scat capscrew rods, you will not have any bolt/lobe interference.

But over the last 2 days I have spent hours on this forum reading threw 100 pages of post reading each post that had anything to do with 305 engines. Yes it was actually 100 pages I have learned a lot read a lot of articles. I realize I need more info before picking a cam and the final selection will be determined between me and the tech people at the company I choose to pick a cam from. But asking a opinion on here is just part of the info gathering to have a more knowlegable base what company to go with.Allso what part of 305 class do you not understand. In My previous post I stated it must be a 305 I am aware of the 350 305 debate but the rules are clear IT MUST BE A 305 so you constantly telling everyone to go to a 350 will fall on deaf ears here. I know if you have said it once you ave said it a 100 times on this forum. Learned a lot off this forum but the 305 is just as buildable as a 350 IMO so cut a little break to the people that are building them they have thier reasons to do so.
With that said has anybody had any experience putting a 3.750 crank in a 305 any advice would be appreciated.
Allso experience with Sig Erson cams what do you think of them.
Can you tell us what your intentions are for this build? I'm with Techinspector that this is a bit of an odd combination.
The 3.75 stroke is typically in a 400 motor (stock) and uses a 5.565" rod.
It is for a local dirt track class must be a 305 block.
I agree, not much point to that. Put the parts in a 350 block, or just run a good 350. A mouse is a mouse, but a dog is a dog!
Don't feel bad 305racer, I also am experimenting with a 305 stroker. My reasons for doing it are,1.Why throw away a perfectly good 305 block,lets see what it can do!,and 2.Everybody's got a 350 stroker.
One day I'll finish my little engine and put it on the engine dyno to give these nay-sayers something to chew on!:)

Sure if you have to buy an engine . Then you can Find 350's Locally most of the Time From your Craigs List . But if you have a Clean SB 305 it can be built . I have Built 1975 Chevy 262 SB's that Raged on Much bigger Engine Car's
