What do you guys think is a good hydraulic roller cam that isnt too expensive
Need a bit more information.... What kind of engine, car, what's in the engine, cylinder heads, vehicle usage, weight..... Lots of things go into cam selection besides price...........
there is no free luch on roller cams. if you have a gm block that is set up for roller cam is a good way to go $$. if you use a older block then you need a retro lifters the are pricey
If it's a pre-roller block the full roller cam setup (cam, lifters, springs, gear) will cost around 1.000 $, not kidding. Just the retrofit lifters will be around 330. Always get springs that match the cam. Need more info before we can say anything about the cam-specs.

If you're dealing with a GM factory roller cam small block, GM performance parts has some good deals. Check Scoggins-Dickey; their tech guys were really helpful when I bought one for my son's roller cammed 350. I got the GM Ram Jet cam; TBI friendly and it's worked really well for just about $200.
