i have a350 chevy that i rebuilt 12 or so years ago. it has had the same problem for years and i just keep parking the truck out of the way. the motor idles great. but flutters at high rpm. it wont even drive. when i try it just overheats and dies. i have reset the valves set timing and replaced everything except the quadrajet. what is my problem? i just took it to a mechanic and he set timing adjusted valves and it idles great. but thats it. he thinks that i didnt align the cam gears correctly. could this be it?
