Careful there Mike, you're dating yourself.
OOPs, sorry Tech, I bought one (LT-1 motor) brand new in a 1970 Z/28. Paid $3376 for it and the payments were $97.08 per month. Does this mean I'm old?

Mike, don't you wish you still had it? Of all the Hemi Mopars that I used to own when I was younger, this is the car that I had when I was 19 that I wish I still had today. I got it in '71, I was the 2nd owner and only paid $2400 for it, it had less than 4000 miles.Quote:

Mike, that is a nice looking car....on the way home from picking up my new 70 Z/28 at the dealer, I stopped for gas. There at the gas station was a 69 Z/28 in white with blue interior. I bought it also for $2000....it was six months old and the guy was getting a divorce and had to sell..... so I had a 69 and a 70 at the same time. Considerably different cars... but both fun. Sold the 69 for $3000 and sold the 70 for $3000 but I got to keep the engine, trans, rear axle, wheels/tires and seats....sold it to a guy who had rolled his and needed a body....I ended up realizing over $4000 for the body plus the parts. These were in my string of selling 70+ cars for more than I paid for them.....including several brand new cars in that series.
