I've been looking for the last few days and taking your thoughts in mind....Edelbrock is now making a dual quad (Air Gap) intake for the LS1.

I'm thinking I'll go that route. Thanks so much for the help. I've been agonizing over how I would use the Air Gap intake....incorporating it into a blower manifold. I know I can have the top machined....with the drive assembly in-line with the crank....feel fairly comfortable with that. But I'm worried about not having the correct height for the plenum. You know....at the best height/ to angle of runners. I'm fairly sure that if I have the bottom placed to high or too low will have an extremely negative affect on low end torque...etc. etc. I'm still thinking. Maybe......cut the intake runners off where they enter the base plenum....fabricate a box (3/16 T6061)....and go from there. Also have to allow for pressure relief valve. I would just build a box around the entire existing product....but there is a gap in between the two carb mounts....that void would need filled on the bottom and top.....and then opened up into one (dual) hole. Man....you guys have any more thoughts? Know anyone on here that specializes with blowers....or maybe has fabricated something odd like this?

Even if I dont go with the blower I'll still have a pair of carbs sitting on top.

I know everyone has their own favorite carb set-ups....so I wont start a new thread on it.....but do you guys have any dual quad set-ups you favor? I use to be able to tune a 650 Holley vacuum secondary like no-ones business....but its been soo long since I've messed with them. I know there is a difference in the way a blower carb and a none-blown set-up.....kind of looking at the demon dual set-up. I think its time for me to dig out my blower books and carb books...LOL's. I'm starting to get confused. Oh...did I say...starting to get confused. I'm always confused. Too many things floating in me brain! LOL's.
