Thread: Water Pump, Alternator, and P/S pump

I have a 350 sbc in my 96 S10 and the water pump is noisy which I am thinking is the bearings. I am wanting to add a bit of polished aluminum parts to this thing (and clearcoat them to keep them polished) so was looking at this one here from Wieand. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Any oppinions on this and would it be suitable for what I need?
Also, I want a chrome or polished Alternator as well to match but need a high output one since I am running a DVD player, lots of speakers, and air ride suspension which will power two compressors and everything else that is electrical on this thing.
I do not want one that will start rusting or look like crap within a year so that is why I am asking for some oppinions. Also how about a power steering pump that is polished or chrome? I just want everything to match and look good. I am not sure if polished aluminum will match the chrome parts but I guess if they are polished enough and clear coated then they will.

Zoops and March make different systems for the SBC. I used the March on the 34.It is compact and looks nice.

Thanks for the info I will look into March. From what I remember about them, they make a very nice product but you will pay a LOT for it. That is my only problem. I don't want to buy cheap but I dont have the money for the most top of the line. I will look into their stuff though and see what I can do.

I forgot to mention my Gallery shows the system I installed.
They sell mix and match individual pieces.

I will check your gallery out, thanks. I just looked through Summit and they have some nice March Performance Alternators and Power steering pumps. I will go with them for these things along with a chrome alternator bracket. Now I need to decide if I want chrome or polished alternator since only the polished one comes with 140 amps...

I used the ED8810-Edelbrock Victor Aluminum Water pump-55-72
Small Block chevy 5/8 Pilot natural finish.

OR....go to a Chevy serpentine system. Since the S10 came with a 4.3, there are a zillion serpentine bracket setups out there. Take the two (one left and one right) mounting brackets (large aluminum castings) and clean them and have them powdercoated...I did them in black wrinkle. Then, stock Chevy parts for that year bracket are a bolt-on. The serpentine system is noticeably quieter and smoother and looks better.

Hey Shawn, MSD just came out with a billet HO alternator, too! Might want to take a look at them..... I cheated on mine for the pickup, polished the good aluminum on the front of it, and painted the case then used a billet pulley....looks good.
