I will be putting these Canfields on tomorrow and I was just wondering if there is anything I need to know that is different about installing aluminum heads vs. steel jobbers. Washers under headbolts????, or that kind of stuff. Thanks guys.

Aluminum heads need washers , ground washers, under the bolt heads. These help spread the load out. Warm it uo and drive it 30-50 miles then retorque the bolts. Then you are good to go.

well you can use bolts with washers but i like studs i tq them all up then back them 1/4to a 1/2 a turn and re tq the bolts or studs any fasteners you use make sure you use the right lube oil or moly past make sure to coat the under the fastener head or nut
;) Thank you sirs!
Use a good head gasket such as a Fel Pro F 1003.
Make sure you follow your torque sequence and torque them in 5 steps.
If you have ran the engine at the track let us know your e.t. before and after.
Eric, the site calls for a 1406 Fel Pro or equivilant.. Is the F1003 a better choice?.
i not Eric:D but you could use the f1010 alum only 4.166 bore thick 039 .8.9 cc or f1003 iron /alum 041 thick 9.1cc
Thanks Pat.
