I'm building a 383 sb for a friend of mine. it's a street/strip 1966 el camino. the eng is 9.8 compression w/RHS vortec heads. He wants a nice cam sound so i want to know how that comp xe 268 sounds in a 383 sb. Does anyone have any experience with this cam? Should I maybe step up to the 274 xe?
ihaven't built too many smallblocks...i've built more big blocks. The car has a 3:55 gear and a 2200 coverter so the 274 will be fine but i would rather use the 268 for a bit more torque. thanks for any help.
