you do not need to cross drill a sbc crank you can use 3/4 mains or 360 full groove mains bearings for more oiling of the rods .the strait shot oiling is the best at very hi rpm cross drill can make things harder to oil and weakens the crank alot say a full 360 main will lower the load carring of the main bearing but have used them .i used the 3/4 in race engines but for lower rpm a stock main bearing works good like kings mich77 acls fedsIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
