    467 lift is pretty radical for a stock 283 <easiest motor to overcam!> we used the 280-h in the 301! and it was pretty radical for the street., id go with the 262h or the 270 with the 305 heads it would work good. .511 is way to big for that motor.. i think unless you going to bore it, use the heads tango said <305's> and use the 262h comp cams or an equivilant. .202valves are to big for a 283 unless its got some compression and etc. id use the 1.94's
