CarCraft did it around 2000 2001 if you can find it on their site but i read in their magazine they used a 400 block 327 crank and used ford 4.9Liter (300 L6) connecting rods and got like 450hp out of it on pump gasQuote:

Dave do you really think that Ranchero is a good Car/Truck to build for a high MPH Bonneville build . They may not even let you run some-thing like that . May-be it would be better as a street build . The Camaro would be the better car even with that 408 Ford engine for a Bonneville car . Do some more research ! :HMMM:Quote:

Well, it's not quite stock anymore, pics in my gallery. We're doing it because it is unique and we want to. Nothing really unique about just another 'maro. And yes, they will let me run it. B-Ville has a class for everything from 100cc motorcycles to jet powered cars. Safety rules are the big issue and I'm quite certain it will meet all of that criteriaQuote:

It's a '67 Ranchero with a 4" chop, window posts laid back 10 degrees from stock, overall length shortened 14", full frame, and a whole lot of other mods in various stages of work. At ride height, the top of the roof is 48" off the ground and the interior has room for a 6' + driver. Next major work will be the suspension (still being designed) and the cage.
No reason to start a build thread, no time to work on it for awhile anyway. I just put pics in my gallery from time to time and leave a note about progress in another thread.... I build the pieces in my spare time and lately I have very little of that......:LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:
