Help him build his 350 with an "under the hood blower".
This is for his Monte.
350 4- bolt block.
#624 heads.
Pick out his rotating assemble, his camshaft, and blower carb and anything else it would need.

demons have a good selection of blower tuned carbs, how much boost? gonna be raced alot? etc details :D?
This engine is a 1979 350 4 bolt from a truck . Its a clean low mile 350 . The #624 heads are Chevys thinest 350 castings . I am not going to use the #624 smog heads . So just the short block will be used . What Heads camshaft carb do you think would work the best . I was thinking of running the Weiand 144 blower . The car is a 1983 Monte Carlo that is gutted out 3400lbs or less. 2800 stall and a 373 gear .
I have a 750 dbl pump that was on my 471 blown sb for sale-I had 882 heads on it ran ok for the street.
I have a set of 882 full ported heads that some one spent a lot of time on . Do you guys think I will need to run head studs with this small blower . I am not sure what lbs of boost this 144 blower puts out . I dont think it will do more then 14lbs . :HMMM:Quote:

I have seen on the dyno with a 383, hyd. blower roller cam,8.5 to 1, with well ported double hump heads and a 6-71 blower.
This combo. went 518 hp.
The second idea is a great flowing head will really help the blower work easier.
Then we bolt on a set of 195 cc CNC ported heads from AFR.
The new combo. went 634 hp.
What about cam, what is the rule of thumb there... 383
I believe I read that the 144 will work with 10.5 cr pump gas, high test for sure
383 with a 5.7 rod is what i am doing now for some one with a 871 with the brodix -10 and a custom erson soild roller cam hope i get 450HP**) i have done the smaller blower engines used the BM cam the crower grind #00981 @.050 236/236 .506/.506 LS 114
Thank you all for the info . This will be a 350 for now . How much boost will the small B/M Weiand put out ?
you will get to a point were you will just make more heat and power will go down if you make any boost you will feel it. so do not get to boost happyQuote:

What camshaft is good for a street blower . Do you need more duration and lobe separation ? I do not want to run more then 510 lift . And I want it to be a hydraulic flat tappet . I think the B/M 144 only puts out 10to12lbs of boost .
the one i posted is good? **)Quote:
