Casting numbers mean nothing in relation to an engined HP rating. Too many combinations use the same castings and factory HP ratings are not terribly real-world info.

What are the casting#s one the rear of the block ? The letters on the tab of the front of the block ? And the casting # on the heads ? In its stock form I can give you an idea about the HP raiting . Also a 327 can be built to a nice 375 HP on a budget .

There will be stamped numbers and letters in front of the passenger side head. They face upward. The letters after the stamped number are what indicate original horsepower rating.

From the casting #s I found out what this engine is . Its a 1967 327 210HP 9.0.1CR . The heads are 74cc 1.72in 1.50ex valves . Also they used this same block for the first 350s with 295HP but with fuelly 64cc 1.94in 1.50ex heads . Good small journal 327 but the heads hold its power back . A set of 64cc Vortec heads with a 450 to 460 lift cam will bring it up to around 340HP

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
