    sb 400 problem

     



    i baught a crome timing cover for sbc put it on and somthing dont seem rite. timing pionter is off to the side, and i think the tdc mark should be strait up . i am biuld motor from scratch and dont have old timing cover to check it. so is 400 strait up and other small blocks off to side or not?thanks wayne

    The only one that I know is straight up is the 305-400 is at the side.

    I used an aftermarket pointer on my 400 and it and the original were in the 2 oclock position.
