Dollorto Quad Set up Info needed any experience out there?

I have an opportunity to purchase a Dollorto Quad carb(Dollorto 44) / Manifold set up for a small block Chev. 327/ 350hp basically stock.

Have always liked the look of these carbs but am not really familiar with them.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of set up?

Streetability, reliability, setup difficulty, performance etc.

Would it be too much carb for my motor or can they be manipulated to suit?

Only use the car for cruising, no racing.

Currently have the original carb (Holley) and manifold set up on engine, but bored with that look.

Any input would be appreciated.

Dellorto 44's run well. The 44 bore size is usually found with venturies that have a weak throttle signal so when you ease into it or crack the throttle, you'll have a bit of a lag that can be frustrating. Patience will tune it, but you'll have to be willing to spend the time to bring that bad boy in to spec for your mild application. (it can be done though and they do look cool when mounted). Is it a multiple 44 set up or a single?

It's a quad set up. Four Dollorto carbs, two front and two rear.

As it sets then, I would caution patience and tune the accelerator pumps for smooth transition. The base set up for the 44 is all out fuel and air flow. They really weren't too concerned about part throttle or cruising the streets. It can be a treat to run.

I have dual 36's on my trike, dual 48's packed away, they are use a lot on the ACVW motors, both Dellorto's and Weber carbs.
