I have purchased a few pairs for big blocks and liked them. I only tried them because of my main supplier (EPW) had them and has virtually no complaints or comebacks. Performance level was good. I guess I will wait a while longer and see if there is a reliability issue. Gut feeling tells me, so far so good.
A had a few people ask about these heads but now for many people it is all about the AFR or for people who want alu. and are on a budget and want made in America the new Brodix IK seems to sell well.Quote:

I have not heard anything negative about them on other websites. They say they are good quality heads that are made down under.
Aussie heads....hhmmm.....I'm anxious to see the end results for longevity and reliability.
I have the Pro Topline heads on my 418W and they are great after 12K miles!!

Sorry to resurrect a ghost thread.... but I had to say something....
I just bought a pair of these for s SBC, got them assembled and on the engine. They are machined to accept both perimeter bolt valve covers and centerbolt. Aluminum perimeter covers rub the stamped steel rocker arms on the pushrod end ( I ordered 3 different sets of different brand covers, all resulted the same ). I have ordered a pair of Edelbrock Aluminum centerbolts this time and I am going to try them. They should arrive tomorrow. I will repost the results.
I will add that I am a bit disappointed in the casting and finish machining of these heads. Although you save a couple bucks, do yourself a favor and spend the tad extra for a more reputable head. I have a feeling that in the end, I will wind up having to buy 2 more heads.
This is with the stock height covers, right??? Just looked over a pair of the Topline heads that a friend bought... They have had lots of port and flow bench time on them...didn't hear the flow numbers... Anyway, the runners and chambers NOW look great, but the outside is still a bit less then show car stuff... These heads are for a competitor's car, so I'll let ya know how the performance is in a month or so when drag racing starts...
First pair was stock height, second pair was the Edelbrock Elite Tall ( and, boy were they tall...). I should have been a bit more specific... the rocker is rubbing the valve covers on the side that is facing the carb ( sidewall ).
I've had the same issue, but never with stock rockers... Must of really had things off when they drilled the valve cover holes...are the holes even centered on the rails????
Don't know how much they're hittitng, but the Edelbrock covers are quite thick, maybe a bit of die grinder time on the inside of the covers would at least make the heads usable??? The covers on the dude's heads I mentioned fit fine, but he's running a set of Comp arms on it....
OK, got it settled. Had to use centerbolt covers and it took care of it.
I tell ya Dave, this has been a real disturbing situation. I am to the point of being gun-shy of these heads, and now I'm wondering about the rocker studs. According to Speedway the heads are made for use w/o guideplates ( has stock guide holes ). However they are machined for plates. After studying the rocker arm - valve stem contact point, something don't look right. Summit says the screw in studs I have are for use with or without plates. I got to think on this a bit. Have you ever had the feeling of just not trusting something... no confidence in it ? I am about ready to invest in some different heads.
I'll try to post some close up pics of the rockers.

I figure thats what the chevy guys do for attention with the small valve heads they think are big. My stock Ford small block 351 Cleveland head came with a 2.19 intake valve and a 1.71 exhausts they also came with guide plates from the factory.
HE! HE! HE! Well Dave you think this will get any of those little head chevy lovers going.
